What Is Included in a Full Property Renovation?

By Greece RenovationUpdated 4 min read

Short answer

A full, turnkey property renovation includes permits and approvals when required, demolition and preparation, electrical works, plumbing, tiling and flooring, gypsum and drywall, painting, kitchens and bathrooms, lighting and installations, carpentry and finishing works, doors, fixtures and final installations — and the coordination of all of it by one team. Design guidance and furniture guidance can be part of the same project.

What “full” and “turnkey” mean

A full renovation renews the whole property rather than one room or one surface. Turnkey describes who is responsible: one company manages the entire project, from the first idea and required approvals to construction, finishing and final handover. You deal with one point of contact, not a list of separate contractors.

Stage 1 — Plan

Vision and scope
What you want the property to become, turned into a defined list of works.
Permits, approvals and legal coordination
When the works require it, the necessary permits, approvals, technical documentation and administrative requirements are coordinated with the appropriate engineers and professionals.
Design decisions
Layouts, materials, colours, lighting and finishes are decided before the trades need them.

Stage 2 — Renovate

Demolition and preparation
Removing what has to go and preparing the property for new work.
Electrical works
The electrical work the renovation calls for.
Plumbing
Plumbing for kitchens, bathrooms and the rest of the property.
Gypsum and drywall
Partitions, ceilings and drywall constructions.
Tiling and flooring
Wall and floor tiling, and new floors.
Kitchens and bathrooms
The rooms where most of the trades meet.
Painting
Surface preparation and painting.
Lighting and installations
Lighting and the installations that make the property work.

These trades depend on each other. Plumbing and electrical go in before walls are closed; tiling follows waterproofing; painting comes after drywall. In a turnkey project, sequencing them is the renovation company's job.

Stage 3 — Deliver

Carpentry and finishing works
Carpentry and the finishing works that complete each room.
Doors, fixtures and final installations
Everything that is fitted at the end.
Furniture and final details
Guidance on furniture, decoration and final selections, so the property feels complete and ready to enjoy.
Handover
The finished property is handed back to you.

The scope above reflects what Greece Renovation offers as a complete renovation. The scope of your own project is agreed with you before work starts.
